Sharing Christ
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” –John 14:6 We want to share Jesus Christ with you, and we want to help you in any way we can to know our Savior. We are a large fellowship of Christians living in the Bryan/College Station area. In an effort to meet the needs of our members and to reach out to those who do not know Christ, we have many varied ministries whose primary goal is to lift up and encourage one another in living the Christian life.
The A&M Church of Christ: A Brief Congregational History
The vision of a church for cadets began in 1921 with A.D. Martin, a math professor at A&M. In 1925, A.D. found a willing helper in Edwin Martin, an A&M Consolidated Rural School teacher. The first cadets met with A.D. Martin in his mathematics room on campus and later in the YMCA when Edwin Martin became involved. In 1931 Mrs. Bessie Woodward of Houston, Texas became interested in the effort and contributed $35,000 for the groups 1st permanant structure. The church built the 210 seat auditorium and opening day was Sunday October 27, 1935. (To Read More Click Here)
Some of our ministries include an active youth program, Aggies for Christ (college program), Children’s Ministry, deaf ministry, nursing home outreach, the iHouse (an international outreach program within Bryan/College Station), Community Service Center, and much more.
