Baskets of Blessings & Jackets for Jesus

As a church family, we exceeded our goal of 100 baskets of blessings and were able to
hand out just enough baskets (114 to be exact) last Monday at the Lincoln House of Hope.
The Jackets for Jesus drive was also a success as there were plenty of jackets for those in
need to choose from. Many thanks were extended from the participants who came and from
the volunteers organizing the event. This couldn’t have been possible without every person’s
help, so thanks!

GED Classes

We sponsor GED classes at the Lincoln House of Hope on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5-8 p.m.  Since September 2009, we have had 5 individuals complete their GED and have several others that are in various stages of testing.

Our next registration period is January 4th (5-8 p.m) pending available spaces.  If you would like more information or to be put on the waiting list, contact the Community Service Center office at 979-693-8148.

Food Distribution

We have made many friends in our community through our food distribution program that meets on the second Friday of every month. Our next distribution will be on December 10th. This is another way that we serve in Jesus’ name.
