Frequently Asked Questions

What do we do?

Donate materials for an average ramp (about $23/ft.)
Volunteers needed to do the actual ramp construction 4-6 per ramp
May be anywhere in 7 counties near here
No tools required, but you may bring and use yours if you desire everything is put together with screws no nailing
Training takes place as ramp is built
Requires 4-5 hours on a Saturday morning
Locally it is usually 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month
Frequency will be determined by demand and our availability

Whom Does It Serve?

Local cities, social services organizations and medical facilities help identify clients
Generally elderly persons on limited income
Also persons with spinal cord injury, Spina Bifida, etc.
Alternative to the drudgery of applying for governmental aid
May be opportunities for further relationship with clients
